Walt Disney World Florida Classic XXV

I read on Deb's page that this will be going on Nov 20th . It also said that the weekend of the 18th there would be many events planned across Disney property. Will this be an issue with crowds/ attractions do you think? Has anyone been here at this time before when this is going on?
We were hoping nothing would be going on the time we went. We are going Nov 15-22.
What do people think?

The Walt Disney World Florida Classic XXV (Nov. 20) will bring students, alumni and friends from Florida A&M University and Bethune-Cookman College to Orlando for the 25th annual football game between the two Historically Black Colleges/Universities. The Classic will be played at the Florida Citrus Bowl in downtown Orlando with Walt Disney World Resort serving as the game sponsor for the eighth consecutive year. The President's Scholarship Gala and other special events are being planned across Disney property throughout the weekend (Nov. 18-21).

Hmmm. I'll bump this one too. What could the events be?. Seems like more of a convention type thing. Maybe a golf outing and receptions at various locations.

I just hope there aren't a lot of rowdy, drunken louts.

We are going the Nov 14th - 20th and I am just now seeing this. I too became concerned about the crowds. Here is the official site for the Florida Classic

There are events scheduled in Disney that week so I dont know how it will play out.

Two rival colleges and a town full of college kids may be a little more than we can bare with our small children. I hope things go OK

Looks like Friday 11/19 is the only day they really hit the Magic Kingdom. Epcot has an event on Thursday 11/18, but it looks like it'll be limited. $125 for the event is steep for a college kid.

Most of the other stuff seems to be away from Disney World. Actually the website has made me feel better about the event. Disney World is a very big place. Maybe just hit other parks on that Friday and it should be fine.
