Walt Disney Travel Company's disney store discount

Morning all, just a quick question to those who have also booked with the walt disney travel company.

I have just tried to use the 10% code they gave me when I booked AKL at the start of the month but sadly it does not work. Turns out it ran out in August, over 2 months prior to me booking our hols :scared1:.

Has any one else had this problem?

If you have a look at your original confirmation email it should give you a 'valid until' date for the code. This should cover you for a significant period of time. It sounds like they gave you the previous code and issued it to you just before it was due to expire. I have used the codes and they did work for me. You could give them a ring and ask them to issue you the new code .... or you can wait for me to get home from work this evening and I can PM you the current one. They are not booking specific so everyone gets the same one.
 
thanks Tiggie i though that was the case, i will call them tonight and get the right code.
 
I noticed on my reservation that it said the code expired in august as well, and I booked it this month :p Haven't tried to use it yet though.
 

Ha ha, just logged into my email and mine is the same. I wasn't planning on using it so I never looked but a giveaway clue is that it says "11". It normally has the last 2 digits from the following year so we should have one with ......12 in it. I guess if you have copious amounts of free time on your hands you could try changing 11 to 12 or use one of the old ones plus 12, which so WDTC12. Much easier to just ring them. If I get home before you guys make the call I will ask them to consider sending out a general email to all guests who were given the wrong code (I assume anyone who booked after August this year) as this will probably save them and Disney a whole lot of bother. Especially with Christmas coming. I am sure they are desperate for the other 90% of our cash on the Disney store site :lmao:
 
Right, folks, much as I love ya all, I have been on hold for WDTC for over 35 minutes and am now calling it quits. I suppose since it's not a free call I would need to spend a fair bit of cash to make the 10% worth the effort. I can try again tomorrow during the day as they are usually quieter during the business day :wizard:
 
at the moment til wednesday, disney store are doing 10% off if you spend over £50, and 15% off if you spend over £75. this is for everyone, and its free shipping at the mo if you spend over £30.
not sure how much you were planning on spending but hope this helps someone....
 
While on hold last night I managed to find the discounts code on the confirmation email, if you print the email out it's near the bottom of the page. Disney like to make things hard to find don't they :rotfl: this code works as I used it this morning.

Does anyone know if annual pass get disney discount or is it dvc members?
 
in UK disney stores, DVC members and DLRP shareholders get 10% off. AP's dont
