Hi Mike

I can't actually help you but to say that based on the comments from these boards I have booked the Swan for December. no doubt Mazzy will come along and tell you all about the Dolphin.

What I can talk about is the location and both hotels can be a great price for a fantastic location. You can walk to Epcot, get the boat to MGM and then the buses to MK, AK and DD.

Hi Mike from one Mancunian to Another!

We stayed in the Dolphin on our first ever trip in May '99 and were just amazed at the Resort! We are going back in December and hope to enjoy it just as much as the first time.

The hotel website is at www.swandolphin.com which has some great photos of the resort and also gives you details of the many restaurants in both hotels. There are also photos on www.wdwig.com and a Resort FAQ which is very useful.

The foyer in the Dolphin is spectacular with it's tented ceiling, a nice place to 'chill' - we loved lounging on the sofas listening to the pianist after the hustle and bustle of the parks.

Rooms available at the Dolphin based on the view are Standard, Lake and Resort, with some rooms having balconies. From some of the Lake and Resort views you can see the EPCOT Ball and fireworks. Rooms have two double beds or a King. Rollaways are also available if you need one for a child. To give you an idea on prices, our Lake View including tax and Resort Fee cost under $200 a night for December with our Disney Club card.

DISCOUNTS are available if you have a Disney Club card or an Annual Pass - you can get half price rooms on most dates. Also if you have a Disney Club card you get 20% off restaurants (except Shula's) at both hotels.

Great pools, kids club, beach, restaurants and absolutely great views!

Can't you tell I love the Dolphin? ;)

If you have any specific questions fire away, and I'll do my best to help. :D

If you're a nurse or a teacher you can get a room at $129 + tax all year round!!!!

All you need to do is thell them when you book and take your teaching/nursing certificate with you as proof.
