Doesn't look like they have loaded SSR/OKW for the summer yet - just did a couple of dates and nothing.

I don't want to book yet however was hoping to gauge prices ;)

We booked the Yacht Club first thing this morning... we were on hold to Virgin from 8:45 ;) !

To be honest, we didn't really notice any saving... in fact it was more expensive than it was yesterday, but that's to be expected I guess!

Either way... Free dining!!!

xx

Hi Holstar,

Did you also get the free $200 Disney spending money with Virgin, as the Disney web site is offering this as well as free dinning on their web site, suggest if you've not got the $200 then check that out with Virgin.

Checked out your dates on the Disney site for the Yacht Club and showing up with free dining and the $200 Disney spending money?

Looks like OKW/SSR aren't showing for all dates - put in the same week next year as we're going this year (25Oct13 - 01Nov13) and not available...
Free DDP and $200 showing for other places though. This has happened in the past that OKW/SSR don't always show so hopefully they will at some point.

Hi really want to book OKW havn't booked for WDW before does the discount come up automatically or do you put a code in I can get the free dinning but no discount on any hotels. Is it just a matter of waiting.:surfweb:

One thing is bothering me

in order to receive the dining plan for free, you need to add tickets.

The "deals" page says that you can add 14 days tickets for the price of 7 but also says that it's for 2012 arrivals.
How strange does that sound when the accomodation deal only starts january 1st 2013 ?

We were originally going to book with Virgin directly, but they quoted us £9,079.00 (£9,640 with car hire) for the complete package (two adults, three children, 15,12 and 9, flights, tickets, Yacht Club and dining plan). I almost had a heart attack!

The guy we spoke to recommended booking through Travel City Direct which is effectively budget Virgin - worked out at £8,167.00 for the same package - almost £1000 difference! He did it all over the phone with us, so Virgin effectively have handled our booking.

I asked about the $200 Disney Dollars and they said that Travel City weren't running that offer, but Virgin were! I am going to query that, as I don't think it's quite fair - but the amount we saved by not travelling directly with Virgin far eclipses the $200 Disney Dollars we would have gotten anyway.

The discounts are already in the price on the Disney web site at http://wdtc.disneyinternational.com/

Click on the Hotel/Villa & Ticket the input dates in Feb 2013, click under Category or Hotel "Disney's Deluxe Villa Resorts" and the price shown on the next page for say 2-weeks in an OKW studio is £2,268.00, which has already been discounted. By adding the theme park tickets you get the dinning free plus $200 of Disney spending, so no code is required

Just checked the following on the Disney web site.

Disney's Yacht Club Resort
2 Adults, 3 Children
Water/Pool View from 23rd August 2013 - 9th September 2013
Your package includes a saving of £240.75 for booking your Hotel & Tickets together!

Plus

Disney's 14 Day Ultimate Ticket
4 x Disney's 14 Day Ultimate Ticket (Ages 10 and Up)
1 x Disney's 14 Day Ultimate Ticket (Ages 3-9)
Your package includes a 14 Day Ultimate for the price of a 7 Day Premium!

Plus

Disney Dining Plan
4 x Disney Dining Plan (Ages 10 and Up)
1 x Disney Dining Plan (Ages 3-9)
Book now and enjoy FREE dining worth £2,498.15 - plus you'll receive $200 Disney Spending Money!

Total price for your stay: £5,777.25

Plus you need to add your flights with Virgin and Car rental, but this costing includes 18 nights at the Yacht Club and free dinning for all 18-nights plus $200 in Disney spending.

Whereas I believe your vacation is for 11-nights at the Yacht and 1-week at a private villa with car rental and flights for £8,167.00.

So for the Disney 11-night stay at the Yacht Club plus tickets and dining you should be paying approx. £3,922. Then add your flights, car hire and your 1-week stay at the private villa.

Not sure but you might have jumped the gun with this booking for £8,167.00 so would quickly check this out with other DisBoards members to see what they think. You might be able to cancel within a short time frame and rebook once you check out all current offers.

Hope this helps.

That's exactly what happened last year too with that particular resort. The others dropped slightly, fortunately I booked on the correct day, so didn't have to pick up the price increase.

Good choice of resort:thumbsup2

Does anyone know if you can do a double jump on dining plan upgrade? We'd finally settled on POFQ for next year, but this only comes with free QSDP and we want Deluxe. WDW website only offers an upgrade to the normal dining plan.

Cheers for that, but I'm not that fussed... not that we're made of money, but I'm glad to have it all done in one bundle.

I'd liked to have done it separately and booked directly with Disney but we can't book with Disney including flights as we're not staying on property for all of our stay, and we can't afford to book Hotel/Tickets with Disney and then do Flights Only with Virgin/Thomson etc due to the upfront cost! This was the cheapest we've managed to get it as a package, so it'll have to do!

And, even if we were to do FlyDrive we were quoted £4281 for the 18 days!!!

So, the savings wouldn't be that great - for the added peace of mind of having it all sorted, I can live with that. I just shouldn't tell the other half ;)

I know! We had settled for OKW until a couple of weeks ago - but suddenly thought that we may as well go for our dream resort - even if it means squeezing us all into one room for 12 days ;)

I'm now very excited! I feel like I've been planning this holiday since I was a little girl!!

You can't do it on the web site but you might be able to do it over the phone.

I know you settled on POFQ but it might be worth checking out your holiday costing with a stay at OKW or SSR as this offers the regular Dinning Plan and you can then upgrade to the Deluxe Dinning Plan. OKW and SSR is just as good, if not better than POFQ.

Therefore, there might not be much between the final prices of upgrading from QSDP to the Deluxe at POFQ compared to staying at OKW and upgrading to the Deluxe Dining Plan and you end up with a better category of accommodation.

I have rang twice this morning to book SSR for January/February 2013 but was told both times I can't do anything until 6 month mark :( I don't know why though as I can book it online but it won't let me add DD! Also didn't see anything about $200 Disney dollars.

Once you've selected your dates and resort category on the Disney web site the next page list the different resort options and for all the Disney Moderate hotels (POFQ) and above such as OKW it states, 'Enjoy a FREE Disney Dining Plan for your whole stay when you add Disney Tickets - plus you'll receive $200 Disney Spending Money!

If you go online now the full details of the deal are showing including the small print for the $200 gift card. You may find that the CM's you have spoken to haven't been updated on the deal for Brit's. I would leave it a day or so and try again and hopefully by then they will have been fully updated.

I spoke with Alex at Charter Travel he has spoken to his contact at Disney Uk the problem is SSR and OKW are DVC resorts and they are waiting to see what accommodation will be available for Feb next year they should have a inventory within the next 48 hours as owners have priority.

That's weird, it must be a new policy. We've stayed at OKW numerous times both DVC and cash and the several times that we've booked through WDW UK we've actually booked sooner than if we were staying through DVC. :confused3
