On Thursday I went to The Walt Disney Family Museum in San Fransico. You guys all need to go if you can. It was incredible.

It was really informative, visually appealing, and intresting. I got teary eyed a few times seeing objects related to Walt. The museum takes you on a chronological tour starting from birth to death. There are reading plaques, videos, and objects.

The highlights for me was seeing Walt's family videos/pictures, the huge model of Disneyland, a bench (Which you can sit on.) from Griffith Park, and pieces from Walt's Disneyland apartment.

I would not recommend this museum for anyone under thirteen. My mom, who is not a Disney fantaic, enjoyed it as well. Again, I wholeheartedly recommended visiting. Plus anyone 17 or under gets a discounted rate. We took about 2.5 hours.

Has anyone been, planning on, or want to go to the Walt Disney Museum?

I haven't been to San Francisco, but we went to the Walt Disney hometown museum in Marciline, Missouri few weeks ago. It was very neat! It wasn't as much about the parks, but rather how his hometown inspired him and helped him create them.
I'd have to say that my favorite part was the model of Disneyland. It was huge, all the different parts were on separate tables. Disney did not build it, however it was still very accurate.

I'm hoping I'll be able to go to Cali for my senior trip in a few years, so maybe then!
