They annoyed every one because they were too loud! Especially when they got into the beer!

There are lots of rumors as to why River Country closed -- one of them involves health concerns which makes some sense since all the other beaches closed about the same time. BUT, I think they still occasionally use River Country for some special events. I may be wrong about that but I know I saw it mentioned somewhere. One of the other reasons given for the closure was that they couldn't compete with the other two water parks which also makes sense. Whatever the reason, it was a neat place to go and I miss it.

They weren't removed by disney, most of them made an untimely demise due to getting hit by private golf carts driven by kids smoking. Or at least that's what the guy told me who was cleaning the site next to us.

A comfort station CM told me you can find parts of the peacocks at the Turkey Leg Stand in Frontierland. NBC gets the rest of the bits for Al Roker's use.

ETA: I think the terlet CM trumps the sand raker CM.

I seen few o dem gettin' choked by guests that caught 'em red-handed, snaggin' their brewski's and poopin' right outside the door to the ol' R.V., Clark! Some o' dem peacocks even moved dem dumpin' hoses so they would empty into the storm sewers!

The peacocks are still there, now they dress as wild turkeys. It's the only way they can get past security. Maybe that was wild turkey in my egg nog
