Walmart vs. Publix vs. SuperTarget?

AVOID "GOODINGS" at the Crossroads, back in the day it use to be the place for Disney Vacationers to go when they were staying say at places like OKW where you had a kitchen in your room, but they finally starting taking advantage to travlers who didnt know the area and prices went up like crazy!!! So yeah def. not a money saver there! Even though that is def. the closest!

Isn't there a Publix on Palm Parkway, the next light after Goodings where the Sheraton Safari is?

Personally we stop in Goodings every time we go to Orlando. They have a good selection of British foods we can't get back home. Their prices are high but we're tourists, we expect to get ripped off. It's part of the Disney Magic

I much appreciate the Whole Foods direction and input on Publix organic selection. We used to be a bit more flexible, but with some newly diagnosed food allergies there are some organic choices that let us have "normal" food...or at least close to it!

I'm not sure what I (wheat free) and my son (dairy free) would do without Van's waffles!! Disney has been great about diet needs---but we are headed to a condo for a few days after Disney and I'd been wondering where to venture out to stock up on our staples!

Try the new Publix over by the Loop (Osceola Parkway near John Young Parkway) for the best British selection. I near about choked on my own spit when I saw the Spotted Dick Pudding.

Can I just ask why everything is always realted to Wal-Mart, Publix or Super Target for groceries? There is also a Winn Dixie located closer to property than any of those.....just floors me........

I guess people "know" WalMart and Target better than others. I never heard of WinnDixie before going to WDW. The Winn Dixie that I know is near the CrossRoads, and if one was staying at AKL or the All Stars, it wouldn't be closer.

For most, it's a matter of going with what you know, and WalMart or Target fit that bill.
