Walmart Savings Catcher

I find it frustrating to use as they really don't price match the app. In my area it will only compare 5 stores; 2 Safeway's, 2 Dollar Tree Stores, and 1 Shopko. They removed RiteAid and Walgreens. The fact that they compare 2 Dollar Tree stores is a joke because they will never give me the difference for something that sells cheaper there. I've had the app since earlier this year and have only earned maybe $8 back.

It really must depend on where you live. Mine compares to 52 stores. I really wish they still included CVS and Walgreens.

I live in a rural area, and this is comparing with the town 10 miles away across the state line. So when 2 of the stores are Dollar Tree, and the other 2 are the same chain grocery stores it's a joke. When they still included RiteAid and Walgreens I earned a small amount, plus just seeing 7 stores listed was much nicer than 5.

I seriously do not think the savings catcher app is very good at"catching" deals. I feel I save more money by couponing at the local grocery stores (the stores that double coupons) and couponing at the drug stores and using their reward programs. If I do shop at Walmart, I price match. This is how I do it to make it easier finding deals - I download the Favado app on my phone. This grabs sales from stores in your area. Using this app, I use the search feature to pull my items to check if any stores have this on sale. I save it to the "list" section of the app. When I get to the register I use this list to tell the cashier my sales. I also have the weekly ads from the local stores pulled up on my phone so I can show the cashier if needed. The main items I price match are price meat and produce. I then take that receipt and scan it in the price catcher to catch any items not priced matched that I might of missed. Overall, this way I feel I save more money this way then just using the price catcher app but it is a pain and a lot work. I would rather just shop at my local stores for the deals.
