Walmart Questions...

Hi there -

Can anyone tell me if there is a Walmart near Disney?

Also, if there is are their prices higher since they are near WDW or are they the same as other locations?

They have the best prices on baby formula and diapers - both of which we'll need for our May 2003 trip.

There is a Super Walmart near mile marker 13 on 192. Might be closer to 12 or 14, but it's in that general vicinity. We bought diapers there and the biggest bag of Pampers (with 84 in the size 4s) was about $19. This was two weeks ago. Everything else seemed pretty comparable to our home walmart too.

Our best find was rain ponchos for $3.50 that had Mickey and Pooh on them. The thnig I thought was crazy is that they had NO toddler boys shorts! Now, I know people in FL thinnk it's winter down there, but come on, they get tons of tourists who think 70 is tropical. We wanted to pairs of shorts to stuff in the diaper bag in case the kids got dirty playing in the dino dig at AK and didn't want to go back to our resort. No luck!

Don't go out on 192!!! Take the highway out from by Hotel Plaza Blvd or near Swan/Dolphin and cut over to 192 that way. You will come in about 1 or 2 miles west of WalMart on 192. Less bumper to bumper traffic that way! We left one night and had all our film developed to make sure everything was turning out ok - plus bought miscellaneous junk.
