Walmart or Target or Kmart near Cocoa Beach?

Hi! We're going to be staying at the Best Western in Cocoa Beach the Friday before our 7-night cruise. While there, I would like to pick up a few things like diapers, wipes and a few toys for our stateroom for DD-2. We will not have a car, so I'll most likely take a cab unless it's in walking distance.

Can you tell me if there's a "super-store" nearby Cocoa Beach? Would it be reasonable to take a cab there, or will it cost me a fortune?

PS. I changed it when I realized we're not staying at the Quality Suites! That was last cruise! We're staying at the Best Western, sorry!

There's a Walmart right near you! I assume you'll be at the Quality Inn and Suites, right? If so you want to take a right out of the parking lot. At the next light (not far) you'll need to make a left onto Rte. 520. The Walmart is a mile or two up 520 on the right.

There were also some grocery and drug stores right on the same road as the hotel, but I don't remember if they were within walking distance or not.

There is a Super Target about 15 minutes from port.

I have been to both the Wal*Mart and Super Target and I liked Target much better. It is also newer (or at least appeared so) than the Wal*Mart

We were at Grill's last year for dinner and had made a list of all the things we forgot (or forgot we needed). Our taxi driver took us to that Target and sat outside with the meter running. The thing I love about Target (or Walgreens or CVS, etc) it that they are all generally set up the same no matter where you are, so we whipped through there in less than 10 minutes and got everything we needed (including a pair of navy pants for my nephew!) and were back in the taxi. It only cost us about an additional $20.00 to make that shopping detour (not counting what we spent in there of course! ).

Walmart is going to be about 4 to 5 miles from you, but you are right across the street from Publix if that will do.
