Walmart close to disney?

We plan on going to the Orlando premier outlets Vinelane one, we are going by taxi to and from old key west. Hubby wants to go Walmart and I was wondering if there was one close enough to disney that we could plan on going past instead of making a trip another day to save on taxi fare. Also if it is possible, are taxis easy to get back to disney from Walmart? Any help would be great.

There is a walmart on that road aprox (apopka vineland) 2 or 3 miles down from the outlets...there are tons of taxis just parked in the parking lots waiting on folks so you should'nt have a problem getting back to old key west.

I am getting myself worked up about a taxi back from Walmart. I know it's easy to get one from the premier outlets as there is a stand to go to and they are genuine taxi company. What taxis's are genuine and normal serve outside Walmart, sorry reading too many taxi horror stories.

There are "real" taxi's outside of that Walmart and lots in the parking lot. I know Mears is reputable. That is the Walmart that the CPs use and they often take the CP bus there and then taxi back.

The other posters are correct about the location of Walmart.


You may also think about renting a car just for the day when we went last year we rented from the airport and returned it at the transit center near magic kingdom and paid $14 us including taxes.

I have been to the Walmart on Vineland numerous times on multiple trips and I have never seen a Taxi sitting outside Walmart. Maybe I am oblivious to my surroundings but I think I would have noticed that. There is no parking in front of the store it is a tow away zone so I am not sure where they would be hanging out. If you know what you are going for and you know you can be in and out in around 10 minutes I would just pay to have the taxi wait on you. You would be surprised how speedy your shopping trip can be if you are focused on doing it quick.

Another consideration...the local Lynx bus does go through Disney and to the Vineland Rd Walmart... www.golynx.com

Looking at Walmart they are to the far right and sometimes farther down in the lot in that furthest aisle.

May be cheaper to rent a small car from Alamo at Swan/Dolphin or Car Care center. Often has weekend specials for like $15 a day for the weekend. Just dont take Osceola Parkway. The Walmart has its own toll booth!

You'll never see a more surreal site than that walmart at 11PM. Crawling with people.

I use to be a CP and have shopped at this Walmart numerous times. Taxis are outside the Walmart all the time. Or you can just call a taxi company and one will show up in minutes.

I live on that road and go to that walmart all the time...there are always cabs outside
