Thank you luvindisneyworld! I have been wondering what might be on sale. Our tv in our bedroom died several months ago. We have been waiting for this sale to get a tv/dvd combo. Wish us luck.

That has to be the black and white Video Now. How could they sell a $62.00 toy for $20.00????????

Just what I was thinking.

They can sell the videonows for $20 because they have phased them out and are selling videonow color. A friend bought the non color one in the spring and can not find any of the cartridges anywhere. She called hasbaro and they sent her a brochure to order from. Once a store sells out of their inventory for the black and white ones, that's it.
I did find a pretty good deal on the color one with 3 cartridges at costco for $69.00.

Thank you for posting. Where to go first thing on Black Friday is one of my favorite decisions I make all year! WalMart looks good- that is where I went last year.

I was thinking that it must be the color VideoNow - their big sale item. The B&W ones are were all clearances out for under $20 months ago.

Our local Walmart has the B&W movies for $1.50 now.

Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving Day!!

Remember that a lot of stores match competitor and their own prices even if you purchased the item before the ad comes out. So, you could go buy the particular item ahead of time, then take the sale circular in to the store with your receipt within the given time period and get the difference refunded. Or, if you happen to be at another store which has the same item for sale (for those who don't like to fight Wal-Mart), take the ad with you since some stores will match the ad price on the spot. The key is knowing which of your local stores price match.

True, but there are some stores who know which "big items" are going on sale in other stores, and their stock "magically" disappears around the same time. *cough cough* ToysRUs *cough* *cough*

Thanks for posting this! Gameboy Advance is listed at about 50% off of the price they are right now. I actually bought it a few weeks ago to put away for my daughter for Christmas and paid $79.95. I kind of debated because I figured they would be cheaper at Thanksgiving. It's unopened so I may return it and try my luck on BF!

No flames please but I think this is wrong! If you get your but out of bed at 4 am so you can wait in line for an hour or more at 5 or 6 to get the special sale items then that is the only time you should get that price.
I thought that was the whole point of this day. Special prices from 6 to noon if you go and squish your way past other shoppers to get what you want before it is gone for the day. Otherwise why would I drag my but out of bed so early to drive for 45 minutes or more to the nearest store to get what I want for the cheaper price.

If the sale prices are only good for a certain time frame, then match would probably only be good during that time frame so you'd still need to get out of bed. However, not all good buys have timeframe constraints - some are limited based on quantity the store has in stock so if you can find the same item elsewhere after the sale store is sold out, give it a shot. Like I said, you need to know the rules of your local stores.

The other thing to keep in mind is that 99.99% of all Blitz sales are "special" meaning they come in with a freebie, new color, or we dont usually carry it etc and *the UPCs are different* making them different products from what we normally carry. Which means alot of stores wont price match as you arnt matching product for product (ie from last year- you can't take the 2 pack of memory games and get 2 loose for the same price- or the Reg Blue My first Leap isnt the same and wont be sold for the Blitz Red My First Leap price) It also means that the normal products we carry are not affected by Blitz.

Does anyone think the Gameboy Advance they will have on sale will be the regular GBA as opposed to the GBA SP? I am not sure of the difference, except I think the SP is supposed to be better. I looked on WM's web site and they do have GBAs and GBA SPs.

Any thoughts on this? TIA!
