Since I am so not a black friday shopper, but love a great deal, I was wondering if I could order from Walmart on Friday online and get the sales prices?
I'm actually looking at the Itouch with $50 gift card in particular.
Not every single item will be available online plus things WILL sell out quickly. Usually there's a surge of shoppers and you might even be blocked from the site for a bit until things calm down. So even if you can order online, nothing is guaranteed.
I have heard that you can put things in your cart before the sale starts and then hit refresh (when sale starts)and the price will update to the black friday price. I have never done this and do not know if it would work but it would be worth trying. I would maybe try refreshing starting at 3am and then do it every 15 minutes until it works.
I have heard that last year the on-line sale started at 3am estern time, but then heard that someone saw a news article that said 12am. So, who knows the time.
The important thing to note is the wording on the Black Friday flyer - 'in store specials this Friday 5am to 11am only'. Which means that those prices are only for in store purchases. They have separate online specials. For the iTouch with the gift card, you have to make the purchase right there in the store. I was at Walmart yesterday, and spoke with an employee in Electronics who told me this.
If you look at the walmart black friday ad online (on walmart.com) and you clock on an item it will tell you if the item is available online at that proce with the extras or not.
