Hi I am having a hard time finding a wall mounted land line phone. Do most people have their phones hooked up to the wall anymore?? Or is this an old way of doing it?? I have seen a few phones that do attach to the wall but not many and of couse the ones I do see I don't really like :sad2:

We have 5 landline phones. One is hanging on the wall, and I just checked the others and they all have the little slit in the bottom where they COULD be wall-mounted.

One just came from WalMart; the other 4 were a package deal from someplace like ecost or newegg. I can't remember exactly, but you might want to check places like that online. Surely WalMart or Target would have something though?

Yup that's my experience as well. Practically all landline telephones I see offered for sale these days can be set on a table or slipped into a wall mount.

We have a wall mounted one in our kitchen with a cord- at least we can still use it whaen the power goes out- the handset/cordless ones won't work then. I think it was probably found at Wal-Mart or Target too.

I too have been looking for a wall mounted corded phone for my kitchen. I've been looking for years. :rotfl2: I see the $10 ones at Walmart and Target - I want something a little nicer. I'm going to google the Pottery Barn one from a PP...

Well, when you have the hookup box on your wall, if you don't hang a phone there - then it really looks bad.
So the ones out there now, that look like office desk phones, while not what you want, they are better than an open phone jack with the cord coming down!

I am hearing impaired, the cheap simple wall phones from Walmart etc... do not work for me.

And, as another poster just mentioned, if you buy the cordless set with the corded handset attached to the unit (wall mountable) then you should always have phone service, even without power. Saves counterspace in the kitchen too. when it is mounted on the wall. (which is why most kitchen phones do/did have a the wall phone jack).

The phone I want (a Uniden) is on backorder.
Unless I find another hearing impaired compatible phone, I will just have to order this and wait.

Office supply stores also have phones.

And, one can order almost any phone from online retailers.
Just Google or Yahoo....

We've got a wall-mounted landline. It's been there for years and came from the phone company. Just like the tabletop one in the living room. Mom would rather rent from the phone company so if the phone goes wonky, she can swap it for a new one.
