What color are the walls of your living room (family room) and your kitchen?

I am going to repaint and I want some color but I just don't know what to do.

In the living room: I am going to put in hardwood floors (kind of dark, like a cherry finish) Going to get new furniture, was thinking about somthing in the brown family (with a boy and a dog, don't want light colored furniture)

In the kitchen the floor will be a beige tile and cabinets are the cherry wood color.

The two rooms are connected, so I want something that would go together.

Just curious what others have. I just don't know what to do.

Dark colors will show more dirt/dust/hair, etc. then medium or lighter colors (on the floor). Our walls in our family room/kitchen are Benjamin Moore's Scarecrow-it is a medium tan/mushroomy color.

I just did the same thing this summer.

My living/dining/kitchen connect in an L shape. I painted all the walls yellow to help with my SAD. My wood floors are a lighter color, curtains are bright red/blue/green and I have subdued accent pictures on the walls to tone down the yellow but it is nice and bright, wish I had done it years ago.

For furniture I went with a beige/lt brown

FR is "chili" (dark red) and I love it. Kitchen is "Indian Ivory". LR is sand and foyer/DR is a green/grey color. (sage)

My painter told me to pick out a few fabrics that I liked and pick the colors from that.

We just painted our living room with Benjamin Moore's new Aura paint which is amazing, and worth every bit of the $60 a gallon they charge. I think the color is Cherokee Brick. I love it! It used to be some ivory color and now it has so much more life to it! I wish I would have done it a long time ago.

My family room is Pistachio by Benjamin Moore. I like it, but we've had it for several years and I am kind of getting tired of it.

Kitchen is Buttercream (my cabinets and woodwork are all dark wood), family room is Desert Sand (tan) and the hallway is Sage green.

Our living room is toasted almond and we have bamboo flooring, laminate but it looks really good. :) Our kitchen is a pale yellow, I can't recall the name, our cabinets are a very light wood and the yellow looks really good against it. Our kitchen and living rooms are sort of communal and both colors look great together.

We have this in the kitchen and keeping room. It's a Sherwin Williams color named Humble Gold.

We had dark furniture in the room when we first painted and it looked great. Now we have the furniture pictured in the ad and it looks great with that too.

My dining room and bedroom are a brick red/dark pumpkin color, the three secondary bedrooms are a dark, sage green, and the rest of the house is a yellow gold. All three colors are rich, and complement each other.

All of our rooms have white trim, moldings, and white doors, so it/they really pop.

Restored gold by Sherwin Williams, but we got out paint at Home Depot. I hate Sherwin Williams paint. It's a very muted brownish gold. I love it!

Legend Tan by Gliddon. My LR connects to my eat-in kitchen & kitchen and I painted it all the same. Love it! I bought Pottery Barn furniture (PB Basic couch and chairs) in Walnut and use pillows and other items for accent colors.

We have hardwood floors - medium darkness. Our kitchen & FM are sage and the entryway and hallways are terracotta. DH is a kindof white-walls-guy. Drives me nuts! I had to fight for these colors.

Liiving room is painted a color called Sea Glass, it is a nice oceany turquoise. Kitchen is Apple 3. Both from Lowes.
Cabinets are cherry finished maple in the kitchen. We are redoing our floors with natural bamboo hardwood.
I love the color and couldn't live without it. No beige for us.

We just repainted this summer too. Kitchen is Sherwin Williams Jonquil.
Living room is Banana Cream. Entry and hall are Full Moon.

My kitchen and family room are both painted a butter yellow. Kitchen floor is a medium oak. FR sofa is red and chairs are red-checked. The yellow/red combination is very warm and cozy. I get lots of compliments on it.

Our family room and kitchen are Benjiman Moores Harvest Orange. It was a risk with such a bold color but we love it and get many complements.

We have Monroe Bisque by Benjamin Moore throughout the house. We also have Sherwin William's BLONDE.
The bathrooms are Shaker Beige by Benjamin Moore, but it could be a nice color in other places as well.
