I saw this mentioned on another thread and I think I see it on Google Maps. Anyone done it? I thought it would be a fun option to walk there for lunch and/or pool hopping during our OKW stay. We won't have a car the 2nd week here after our cruise. I just want to make sure we aren't traversing crocodile infested woods or something!

If you find OKW on Google Maps you can see it by the service buildings off of Miller's Road. It crosses the main road outside of OKW and goes right into the parking lot at Port Orleans. I always knew it had to be close! One time it took us 90 minutes by buy to connect there through DTD which I will never try again!

There is none. You cannot walk from OKW to POFQ. You have to take a bus or boat to DTD from either and catch another bus or boat back to the other. Or take a cab.

What you see on Google Maps is not a road. It is a construction/backstage site. Guests are not permitted there.

I'd do this one by cab.

Alternatively, if you are not in a hurry, you can do it by *boat* connecting via DTD. That won't be much faster than the bus, but *will* be more fun.

I don't think there are usually any crocs, but I would certainly be on the watch for snakes. There is no walkway or trail, it goes through a construction storage area and is off limits to guests. Years ago, we walked to PO using that route and would never do it again. It is pretty rough terrain with lots of shrubs, thorns, thistle, etc in addition to needing to watch where you step due to native critters.

If you really must walk, you'd need to walk along the busy roadway to the PO entrance. From the Miller Road CM exit it is still almost 3/4 mile to PO with no sidewalks, walkways or trails. Even there, Disney security may stop and ask you to go back the way you came.

I'd also use Disney transportation (boat/bus) or take a cab.

I may be wrong, but I think you will take the boat to DTD and then change to a different boat to go to OKW. I can't imagine trying to walk that and crossing the busy roads and just the amount of time it would take to get there.

If you like walking, just walking around the PO is very nice. We did that when we stayed there.
