Walkup at the GCH Craftsman Bar this weekend?

Hey all! Some friends are in town and staying down not far from Anaheim. They wanted to pop over to Downtown Disney and see the GCH and grab dinner either Saturday or Sunday. They're not here for Disney, but wanted to do some holiday shopping at World of Disney and such. Obviously, everything is booked. But what do you think our chances are of joining the walk up list around 4 or so on Saturday or Sunday this week at the Craftsman Bar at the GCH? I'm not sure how competitive their walk up list is for getting a spot so I'd appreciate some insight!

GCH craftsman bar reservations tend to open really wide about 24 hours before. The night before check the app around 11pm and play around with party size.

I would think your chances are pretty good, but normally when you walk up they will give you a return time. If you are asking at 4pm, you may not get a table for a couple hours. Definitely try it if you can't snag a last minute cancellation. Remember, you can easily walk up to the bar in the lobby and order whatever you want there, too.

Just a reminder, this weekend, the Grand will be hopping as it is Candlelight weekend, and most Disney guests end up there. It may be a little more competitive than normal.

I was looking for a dinner reservation for DH's bday on Sat. 11/20. Most everything was booked several weeks out. I checked day before and a 5:00 p.m. reservation for Craftsman popped up, so I grabbed it. The food and atmosphere were great. I would recommend checking several times in the days leading up to your trip. Something might open up. When we went, I don't think it ever got completely full. You may have luck walking up and getting on a list to return later.
