I can't get an ADR for Cape May and 1900 Park Fare but really want to eat there. We're going late Sept and it is not free dining. Anyone have experience walking in here? I'd like to do 1900 Park Fare for a breakfast to see Mary Poppins and Cape May for dinner.

How many of you are in your party??? Here is what I suggest. Every day check for ressies online. I've tried several times a day for ressies I wanted, and something always came up. even popular ones like le cellier literally a week before my trip! so dont give up. If you still cant get anything, when you get to disney, ask your concierge daily to check for the ressies you want. If all else fails, try walking up. You have to at least try. And dont listen to those that tell you not to bother. You would be surprised at how many dont show up for their ressie. Good luck!

We did a walk up at Cape May a few years back and were able to get in without a problem around the same time of year. We were only a party of two though.

I'd recommend keep checking online and you can still check while in the parks - just go to guest services and they can check for you.

We walked up for Cape May last October. They said 30-40 min wait for 4 of us but we waited maybe 20 mins. Also, we got there early around 5:30 so I could tell it wasn't busy yet. I found that sometimes when you call they say there is nothing but if you walk up and take a chance you might have more luck.

We'll be there late Sept on the free dining plan. As long as you started your Disney stay by Sept 24th, you get free dining for the rest of your trip. So you could easily have free dining from Sept 24th - Oct 2nd for example. So there will be many people using free dining while you are there.

...unless you meant to say that YOU aren't using free dining. Is that what you meant?

Anyway, I agree that you should just keep checking. People drop reservations all the time when they change schedules, or finally determine which of two or three reservations they are actually going to use. Book something else as a backup plan so that at least you have a reservation. If you do finally get a reservation for Cape May's or 1900 Park Fare, just cancel your other reservations (in the allowed cancellation window).

I would keep checking online multiple times a day for a party of 6. You could also try for tables of 4 and 2 close together in time and then ask if you can be seated together. If nothing comes up, you can continue to check with the concierge at your resort or Guest Services in the parks once you're at DW.

Walking up would be a last resort option for me and I would only do it if I happen to be near the restaurants in question because it could be time consuming and frustrating.

Good luck!

Right. We're not on free dining, and while there will be some people still there using it, probably not as many as during actual free dining dates. Makes sense that there will be some. Thanks!

I know someone who is working there right now. They said that there are days that they allow no walk ups. I would keep checking for a reservation online and when you arrive in the area call Disney Dining or have the Conceirge check availability for you and to keep checking it.

For a party of six consider splitting into two parties. Maybe a four and a two.

We always get into Cape May without an ADR-no problem-as long as we show up between 4:45 and 5:00-no later than 5pm when they open. We have done it for years!

We have not been as lucky with 1900, but it has consistently worked out with CMC:)
