walking to places from Yacht Club

Hi All,

Read different things on different sites. From the Yacht Club, what is an average expected walking time to:

Epcot (using International Gateway)
MGM
Boardwalk shops/restaurants

I'm hoping all these are walk-able and will save hassles of driving/parking or taking the buses, etc.

Also...for the IG at Epcot - is this entrance only for hotel guests that walk over?

Approx:

7 minutes
20 minutes
7 - 10 minutes

Give or take a minute or two on either side. I like walking the Boardwalk, and it's generally faster than the boat too.

yc is great!! it is very close to epcot about 5-8 minutes depending how fast you walk. mgm is aobut 15 minutes. the entrance gates are open to everone but most epcot resorts guest use it just because its right there. word of caution...you will get hooked on staying there so beware you may never want to stay anywhere else.

I was amazed at all the details and planning that people were putting into their vacations when I first found this site and others...but now I understand! I'm hooked on it as well and can't wait to get down there. My gut tells me this will turn into an annual trip!

you'll have a great time! be sure you leave hungry because there are so great places to eat in the boardwalk area and epcot!

We stayed here for this exact reason. DS is in a wheelchair and the ability to walk to MGM and Epcot was the draw. It only took me five minutes for us to reach Epcot and just about 15 for MGM. I am tall though and take really long strides when pushing his chair. My shorter friends yell at me to stop running. lol I really enjoyed the walks to both parks and LOVED just walking back at the end of the day and bypassing all the long transportation lines. Enjoy! This resort was spotless and very nice.

We actually liked taking the boat over to MGM. It was a nice ride and everyone was always friendly. The boats were never too crowded when we would ride them. Also, Staying at the YC yu are very close to the boat dock.

I agree the boat is the best option for MGM....

To boardwalk and Epcot it's a simple 5-8 minute walk... Enjoy
