Walking to MK from BLT vs VGF

Kind of a weird, specific question, but we are going to do a split stay with 2 nights at either VGF or BLT for access to MK. Besides being quite a bit longer to MK from VGF, is there anything much different about how long it would take to go through security or anything else? We would probably go during the extra am 30 min. I've done the walk from BLT but not from VGF.

I guess the VGF walk is just a nicer walk....not crossing a parking lot, streets, etc. Not really much of a difference other than what side of the entry you are starting from and which other modes of transportation might be arriving at the same time for any crowding. We like the VGF walk better but it is a bit longer.

The walk is 10-15 from VGF, 20-30 from Poly. I don't view it as that much longer.

VGF/Poly is also walkable to the TTC, which is the monorail to Epcot. If you're coming back from Epcot, that might be nice. The huge TTC boat might also be running early, and that's really convenient from Poly.

You can cut across Topiary Lane, although that does not have a sidewalk, so be prepared to walk on the grass:




To me, the only somewhat dicey park of the walk is near the Contemporary (some cars drive past you pretty fast):

The GF walk is longer, but it’s quiet, you don’t have to cross a busy road, there’s nice scenery to look at, but very little shade and the security set up is exactly the same as the BLT walkway.

We took a long, leisurely stroll form TTC to the Poly, then VGF to MK, and finally to BLT.

The walk from GF is really nice!! It really didn't feel that long either...10-15 mins maybe. There's always the monorail as well too.

The walk from VGF is definitely longer (especially leaving from the VGF building vs leaving from BLT and walking) - however we truly loved it and because of that it did not *feel* longer. It was so scenic and beautiful, I would still choose it over the walkway from BLT hands down.

It's probably because I was there in the dead of summer, but I just remember the GF walk feeling so much longer because it was hot. Beautiful, but very little shade
