Walking to MGM from Dolphin?

I have tried to find an answer for this but have not been able to confirm it. When I booked my Dolphin res the agent told me that you can walk to MGM from there. I know that you can walk to Epcot but can find nothing on the web where I have looked about walking to MGM too. Only about taking a boat from there. Can you walk to MGM from the Dolphin? Is it far?

Many eves we walked to/from the MGM park and BEAT the BOATS! Especially AFTER fantasmic, when the line is long for the boats. The walk/stroll is wonderful, well-lighted with banners celebrating the 100 years of magic hanging from all the light poles! If you walk from the Dolphin towards the Swan, and take the bridge towards the Boardwalk...the path is to the right, along the waterway. It's one of the reasons I LOVE the Dolphin Resort & Epcot area. The option to walk to/from the resorts is wonderful, especially after the parks have closed and you have left a late dining event!

It is a nice stroll... alittle longer than the EPCOT-Dolphin walk, seems longer since there are no shops, snacks, or boardwalk performers along the way...

We were there in August and walked back from MGM to the Dolphin at night three different times. It took about 15 minutes but I power walk at home all the time so that was moving faster than most people probably walk. At home I do 2 and a half miles in 35 minutes, so the walk from the MGM exit to the Dolphin door is I guess about a mile. It really is a nice walk no matter what pace you are traveling. I guess if it was really hot or rainy the boat would have been better though.

DD & I always took the boat. DS discovered very quickly that if the boat was not ALREADY at the dock waiting, he was better off walking. He only rode the boat if it was there already or DD & I were with.

I however, am 4'11" and so it would take me a little longer!
