Hello!

Despite saying never again after the last time, I'm currently contemplating a trip to DLP over October Half Term.

The on-site hotels are ridiculously expensive so I'm currently weighing up my options of staying off-site and getting APs.

My first though was to stay somewhere in the Val D'Europe area and get the train, but I've found quite a good price for the Explorers. But seeing the carnage of people waiting for the shuttle buses to these hotels in February is really putting me off... at one point there must have been 300 people all pushing and shoving to get onto one bus!

Now I seem to recall that it is possible to walk from the parks to these hotels, is that still the case? Is anyone able to confirm the route you'd need to take and most importantly, if it's safe to do so!

Hi we where one of the buses like that over half term it was mental !!
We where there oct half term and the buses where no where near as bad they seemed to be less buses in feb.
If I where thinking of doing the half term again I would be using the train to VDE it's very cheap and easy and I would stay at the ibis or the other one that slips my mind both at the entrance to the train station hardly any walking at all :)
We are at the kyriad in august hoping for a better bus service.

Could you get the bus to Santa Fe & walk from there. It'll still be busy but not as bad.

You can but it's not as easy or as fast as going to Hipark or the Adagio.

:thanks:

I think we'll look at those then, I really like the idea of being self-sufficient and not having to rely on buses & trains but I think I'll have to admit defeat on this one and book something not within walking distance!

It's only 20 minutes from the Adagio/Hipark to the entry Disney Village - I walk it there and back everytime I go - plus when you arrive there you have a lot less wait at bagcheck as you only get people who walk or who are parked at the Vinci Disney Village parking.

Oooh I didn't realise they were within walking distance! Is it easy to do?

Thank you so much! I think I'm going to look at getting this booked then - eeeek! :)
