Walking time from Hotels?

I am trying to figure out the walking time from Paradise Pier to DL and DCA and also from the Disneyland hotel. Trying to decide which I want to stay at. TIA!

6-7 minutes from Paradise Pier (the width of a small parking lot, then from one end of DTD to the other). About the same from DLH (some walkways then the length of DTD). GCH to DCA there is a direct gate, so the only walk is from your room. GCH to the DL gates is 3-4 minutes (just past a store or two).

So it seems like DLH and PP are about the same walking distance to the main gates?

When we walked from DLH to the main gate it took us about 15-20 minutes. Maybe we're just slow? We used the monorail most of the time but I don't think that's open yet.

As the crow flies, they're probably pretty close. However, Pixar Pier is going to be a slightly longer walk because you have to walk past the Grand Californian self parking lot and along a parkway to access security at Downtown Disney, next to Earl of Sandwich. For a guest staying at DLH, that checkpoint is immediately adjacent to the hotel. If you're staying in the Adventure Tower, it's literally 100 feet away.

Once in Downtown Disney, the walk to the Esplanade is the same, obviously.

Adding that leaving CA through GCH is a much shorter walk to PPH than DLH. (I’m unsure of the actual time.) The downside if you were to do this to DLH is that you’d have to go through security again and go through Downtown Disney.

we used to go through GCH from PPH, but they no longer allowed this due to security changes. (Unless it changed again.)

Basically, if you can cut through GCH, it’s a shorter distance. But since you can’t do that TO the parks, DLH is shorter. But leaving the park, PPH is a shorter distance.

If you are walking with purpose (not fast, just not browsing) it is about 7 mins from the DLH security to the esplanade.

If you are worried about distance from the gates. I hear you should just stay across from Disneyland on Harbor. These hotels are so much closer to the turn stiles. Have an amazing trip.

The walk from PPH is about 14-16 mins and the walk from DLH is about 10-12 mins. From the PPH you have to walk past the grounds of the DLH to get to the park turnstiles so it’s definitely a few extra mins from PPH.
As mentioned, there are several hotels and motels as close or even closer than those 2.

Well we already have it booked at Paradise Pier. But with the room discount released considering moving it to DLH. But it doesn’t sound like it’s that a big walking difference. And we will only be there 3 days. I know it’s silly but I wanted to be on Disney property for this trip since our first back to anything Disney since the pandemic. So wanted to be somewhat special. But wanted to save a little money so picked PP out of the 3.
