Walking time from front gate to Disneyland Hotel?

DW, DS, DGM, DGP and I have reservations at the Charecter Breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen in the morning but we are staying at the Residence Inn.

Just so that I can get an idea, how long does it usually take to walk from the entrance of the Main Gate of Disneyland ( right where we cross the street from the IHOP ) to the Disneyland Hotel?

I know that we have to cross the entire Sunshine Plaza, walk all the way through Downtown Disney and cross the street to get to the Disneyland hotel.

I'm trying to figure out how early we have to leave the Residence Inn in order to get to the Disneyland Hotel with time to spare.

I'm guessing that we are talking about a 30 minute walk from end to end?

Sunshine Plaza is in DCA.

You have to cross the main entry plaza and walk through downtown disney. At a casual pace it can be 10-15 minutes.

Id say longer than that... with crowds trying to pass the check points and the # of ppl at DTD, its gonna probably take 20-30 min.

I'd say a good 15 minute walk. Like Albort said though crowds and check points 15 - 20 minutes.

Hi -

It is 1/2 mile rom the Front gate of DL to the DLH. I would say 20 mins to be safe especially if you have young kids and they might feel the need to look at the shops in DTD.

Thanks....I will probably try to leave by 8am...since the seating is at 8:40am at the DL Hotel. I hate to get up early and get ready and stuff....but DW equally hates rushing to make reservations.

Sorry to hijack - but would the walk time be about the same for PPier Hotel?

It usually takes us around 15 minutes. Were not super fast walkers either.

The PP is a bit further out. I'd say add another 5 minutes to the walk?

Any of the restaurants at the hotels (character meals or otherwise) or open to anyone. They aren't picky about whose money they take!

It took us about 20 minutes to walk from the front gate to Goofy's kitchen back in September and we were walking very casually, and stopping to glance in a few of the stores. It was a very nice walk!

We are staying at the Residence next month. And I would say from the RI to DLH is a good 30 minutes.
