Is it possible to walk through the promenade before parks are open to get to DD? Will be walking in from Harbor Blvd. Thanks.

Yes. People line up to get in the parks pretty early depending on opening time, MM, etc...
DtD starts opening up at 7am.

Be prepared for long security lines. They were checking all bags and everyone had to go through the metal detector when we were just there. The do not have a "no bag" line like WDW does.
