I am sure this has been said somewhere else by someone else, but are they ever going to let us walk through Cinderella's Castle again. I am 42yo and to this day one of my strongest memories as a kid of WDW (back then there was only MK) was walking through the castle into Fantasy Land! The Show they do is great, but I would like to be able to walk through the castle with my dd (8) while she is still a little girl.

People can still walk through the castle.

They only block it off during the stage shows - right before until after because of the small fireworks that go off at the end of the stage show. Other than that you can walk through the castle to your little heart's content. :)

Thanks for the intel. I guess we should have taken a closer look. When we saw the stage show all set up, we assumed we could not walk through! Thanks again!

I must have hit the castle at all the stageshow times a few weeks ago because we never were able to walk through. I just assumed that they no longer let you walk through. We could walk in from the back side but then there was a wall up blocking us from going the rest of the way. I must have been there at all the wrong times. I think in three trips, dh has never walked through the castle, something I also fondly remember from my first trip in the 70s.

We walked through last week- I took my time and enjoyed the mosaics depicting Cinderella's story. It can be tricky to catch the Castle open, since it is closed during the shows.

I am glad it wasn't just me! :rolleyes1

Definitly still walkthroughable.

I specifically remmeber walking through it a few days ago, because as I'm trying to get my exhausted family through the castle around closing time, there is a family trying to get a group shot in front of one of the mosaics. The dad with the camera has his back against one wall, and the family is backed up against the mosaic on the opposite wall. I slowed to try to give them time to get the shot, but when I saw that dad was having to make some adjustment on his camera, I had no issue at all with walking through their shot. The crowd forming on both sides followed my lead. I felt a little bad, but come on; talk about the worst possible time and place to try to get a picture.

just stinks that they closed all the stores that were in there :( I remember my dad buying a souvenier from one of the stores......was like a jewelry store but w/a unique twist....wish I could explain what I mean by this lol was just very cool....now covered up by colorful decoration :(

If you mean the Crystal Arts place, it is now on Main Street and still has a lot of jewelry.
