Walking through crowds during MSEP and Wishes

We have been to the world so many times yet havenever really been when it is dark outside! Usually we are back at hotel with DD or having dinner. Anyways, this trip, we are going with more family to watch DD so DH and I are going to go to MK after 6:30 on a night its open until 10. My question is, when the MSEP starts and wishes, will we be able to walk easily between rides? Say between BTMRR and SDMT? And say we wanted to leave during Wishes, is there an alternate exit (since Im fairly certain everyone stands on Main Street?

Also, can anyone direct me to a link on where to stand/get a good view for MSEP and Wishes? (Just in case we want to do that instead lol)

Getting between BTMRR and 7DMT during MSEP is not something I would recommend. During Wishes would not be a problem.

They sometimes open an alternate exit during/after Wishes, but it's not something you can plan on. I would just avoid Main Street during that time and be gone already, or deep in the park to avoid the traffic jam.

Going to BTMRR from 7DMT - use the Rapunzel exit from Fantasyland, stay as far to the right as you can past HM, and then use the boardwalk along the water in Frontierland to get to BTMRR. Two adults, no stroller, pretty easy to get through crowds. We do it all the time.

If you think you may need to leave during/before Wishes, check to see if the access route between Tomorrowland and Main Street is available. If it isn't, cut through the shops on Main Street to get through the crowds.

We found a walkway to the left thru Fantasyland while the 2nd MSEP was going on last time, don't know how we missed that before

For walking down Main St. before/during Wishes, they are rather militant about keeping walking paths open. You will be able to get down the sidewalk.

MSEP doesn't go through Fantasyland.

Are you talking about the boardwalk that runs from Splash/Big Thunder all the way to the entrance to the docks for the Liberty Belle? That's the best way to get past everyone during a parade in Frontierland.

You can also cut through the Emporium to avoid the crowds on Main Street during Wishes. It runs all the way from Casey's to the entrance hub. The shop is well-lit and two adults can navigate between the racks and shoppers fairly quickly and easily.
