walking sandal recommendations

I always wear my Merrill flip flops in the park. Even with plantar fasciitis! They have good arch support and are very comfortable.

Another vote for Keens. My family of 4 all wear Keens to the parks. My preference is the Keen Rose sandals. Not quite so much coverage so my feet stay cooler. And they're cute. :cool1:

I have had good luck with my Teva Olawahu and Teva Tirra, so much so than I am looking at either a pair of Teva Kayenta or Zirra sandals too! :thumbsup2

I never really see them mentioned but I swear by Reef flip flops. I discovered these when I was really overweight (obese) and had very bad foot & leg pain. Even in good sneakers I couldn't make it all day in a park. Then I found Reef because I wanted something with good arch support & that would dry quickly (we always get soaked on Blutos Barge at Uni). BEST. INVESTMENT. EVER. Ive since done lots of open to close park days and even a whole 24 hour day and without any pain in my feet or legs since.

What is the name of the Teva knock offs at Kohls? I 'd like to go try them .

They are their Croft & Barrow brand. These are slightly different from the ones I got two years ago. I bought another pair in the Berry this year, but haven't worn them yet. They have some other styles that I think are closer to the Keens as well.

Keens. I have fallen arches, and they are the only sandals that I have been able to walk in extensively. I have tried Tevas, flip flops, Danskos, Eccos, and Clarks. They don't look like they have much arch support, but they are surprisingly great. I usually have to add arch support to most of my shoes, even nice European walking shoes, but not the Keens. I have hiked WDW twice, DLR once, and multiple miles in Hawaii and around Austin in mine without any problems. I was worried that it wouldn't be warm enough to wear them on our trip last week, but luckily, it was. Mine aren't particularly pretty but neither are sore feet and calves. They have really good traction in the wet too. Mine are a water-rated version, but they don't sell the particular model anymore. They are expensive, but they have lasted a long time. I have had them for over a year and a half, and I wear them almost everyday March-November.

:cloud9:Orthaheel anything!!!!! Even with my PF I can wear flip flops again because of all the support and they have the cute sequined ones too! 15 miles a day at EPCOT and no pain can't beat 'EMH!

Thanks for starting this thread. We will be there in August, so I just ordered a pair of Tevas from STP. Thinking of ordering a pair of Keen whispers for myself and my daughter. Hoping to find something comfortable!

Whatever you get, wear them before your trip, to make sure they are comfortable.
Have a great trip!
