Walking from Vistana/Westgate Lakes

Hi all

I've heard that there is a walkway to get from Vistana to Downtown Disney. Is this true and if so how long does it take? I know Westgate Lakes is just down from this so would this be the same path? Also where does it start and where does it come through?

it would be Vistana Resort not village - which you are talking about is much further - Westgate lakes and the village are even close.

so no walking to anything from Westgate Lakes - now you might be able to walk to Seaworld - but won't suggest it at all you have to go across two very dangerous roads.

are you sure you are talking about Westgate Lakes?

talking about Sheraton Vistana Resort - it is about a mile from DTD.

Westgate Lakes is easy 7 to 10 miles from DTD.

Maybe you are talking about West Gate Villas which I believe are about a mile from WDW.

you can't walk to WDW from it.

the streets are too busy and no sidewalk.

now you can walk to a few places near it.

Westgate Villa are close to AK - not even near DTD.

The only resorts that you can walk to DTD from would be the 2 Cypress Pointes and Bluetree. They are less than a mile away and have sidewalks/crosswalks the whole route.

None of the others mentioned are close enough or are pedestrian friendly enough to even consider walking. Goes double for Westgate Villas/Lakes as they are MILES from any Disney property and have zero sidewalks/crosswalks but plenty of traffic.
