walking from typhoon lagoon to downtown disney?

is it possible to walk from TL to DTD? They look close together onthe map...we were thinking of going to TL in the morn, walking over to dtd for lunch and maybe some shopping, and then going back to TL in the late afternoon...if you cant walk, how long does the bus take? thanks!

As far as I know, there's no walkways from Typhoon Lagoon to Downtown Disney. Plus, the driveway into Typhoon Lagoon is extremely long, then you go through the parking lot. I wouldn't even attempt it. Yes, they look close on a map but in actuality, they aren't that close.

The bus shouldn't take very long at all. Not sure about the return, however.

There are no sidewalks and it is a good walk from the enterence of TL to DTD. Depending on the time, in the afternoon buses will go to TL before heading to DTD, so you can hop on any bus and it will take you right across the street for you. To get back to TL, you want to get on a bus of a resort that is near by (IE Port Orlines, Saratoga Springs, Old Key West) But make sure you ask the driver if he is going back to TL as sometimes their route might change, but if that happens you just have to get off at the resort and wait for the TL bus to come.

There are also no sidewalks, no crosswalks, or crossing lights. Walking on the multi-lane roads is very dangerous.
