Walking from/to Desert Palms

Staying at Desert Palms next month which is on the corner of Katella and Harbor, just wondering incase I'm heading from/to DTD or one of the Disney hotels rather than the parks am I able to walk onto Katella from Disneyland drive rather than out the main entrance and onto Harbor?

Yes, you can easily get to Katella from Disneyland Dr. It is a nice palm tree-lined walkway - the sidewalk even makes a hidden mickey! If you are heading to/from DTD, cut through the Grand Californian to get out to Disneyland Dr. There are sidewalks along Katella as well.
