walking from resorts

Is it possible to walk to any of the parks from CBR? We have never stayed on site so this will be a first for us and was wondering what the distance was to the park from the resort. We will be using the bus transportation when we are there ,but was wondering if we could walk? Thanks for the info.

No, it isn't possible to walk to the parks from CBR. Walking along WDW roadways is definitely frowned upon. I've seen Security pick up walkers on several occasions. There aren't sidewalks in most WDW locations so walking would be somewhat unsafe. There are some resorts which offer a walking path to parks (Contemporary to MK, Yacht Club-Beach Club-Swan-Dolphin-Boardwalk to Studios and EPCOT) but the rest require some form of transportation. From the CBR you can either take the bus or your own car.
