Other than the walk between CR and MK, are there other opportunities to walk between parks and/or resorts?

From EPOCT or the Studios you can walk to Boardwalk, Beach Club, Swan and Dolphin, and Yacht Club.

You can also walk from the Poly to GF, Wilderness Lodge to the campgrounds, OKW to SSR. SSR to DTD.

Pop to AoA; among all the All Stars; POFQ to POR. Downtown Disney to the Hess Station; Boardwalk to the other Hess Station.

All Stars -- McDonalds -- BB/Winter Summerland Mini Golf -- CSR. About 1 mile from AS Sports to BB/WS, another mile to CSR.

You can also walk from Poly to TTC and hop the monorail to Epcot.

So in theory if I was at HS I could walk to Epcot and take the monorail to TTC and then monorail back to CR?

I know we're going to want to use the buses as little as possible (hence why we are at CR) so even if it meant long walks and switches between boat/monorail we'd probably enjoy that more.

Does anyone have suggestions about using the boats to get around?

As long as Epcot is still open and you have park hoppers. From DHS, you would enter Epcot at the International Gateway (IG) and then have to walk to through UK, Canada, and Future World (FW) and exit the main gates to get to the monorail.

Ferry Routes that I can think of:
TTC - MK
Poly - GF - MK
MK - WL
MK - FW
CR - FW - WL
DHS - BC/YC - BW - Epcot - D/S (May be a different route than listed)
PO/POFQ - DTD
SR - DTD
OKW - DTD (?)

While it took a while, I had plenty of time to kill last Wednesday and took the long way home from DHS to Fort Wilderness. Walked from DHS to Epcot ... grabbed a beer in Canada ... walked through Epcot to monorail ... monorail to TTC ... monorail to Poly for a Lapu Lapu ... monorail to Contemp ... boat from Contemp to Ft Wilderness.

Nice relaxing way to see the sights if not in a hurry.

That sounds like a great way to get from DHS to FW. If not in a hurry, or held up by opening/closing times, there are so many fun ways to get from one place to another at WDW.

If the only objective is to go from DHS to the Contemporary then it makes no sense to walk that far to just use the monorail when there's a direct bus from DHS to the Contemporary, there's nothing wrong with taking the bus.The walk from DHS to Epcot's IG entrance (backdoor entrance) is like 20-30 minutes depending on your walking speed, then another 15 minutes to get to the front of the park,go up the ramp to the monorail, possibly wait 10+ minutes for a monorail to come,12 minute monorail trip, exit the monorail,go down the ramp and then up the ramp to get on the resort monorail, wait for it to come and then that monorail has to first stop at the Poly,GF,MK before stopping at the Contemporary, definitely not the most time effective route.
