Can it be done? If so, how, and how long will it take?? Thank you!!!

If Fantasia is right by Swan/Dolphin as I recall it, I'd say 15 minutes from the IG, tops, and that at a leisurely pace.

Just realized we're down to single digits!

My kids and DH walked from the YC to Fantasia Gardens this year. They said it took 10min from our room at the YC to get to the Gardens (across the street from the Swan/Dolphin complex)

It took us 7min to walk from the IG to the YC, so I am guessing 15-20min, depending on how fast you walk.

As PPs have said, it's pretty easy to walk from IG to Fantasia Mini-Golf. It's about 0.8 miles (1,450 yards) from IG to Fantasia Mini-Golf (when going via the Boardwalk). You'll have to cross Epcot Resorts Blvd near the Swan/Dolphin (there is no stop light there, but there is a pedestrian cross walk).

(For reference, a walk around World Showcase is about 1.2 miles.)

Thanks! OK, so once we go through the IG---where do we go? Will there be signs directing us which way to walk?

Walk past Boardwalk to the Swan (the Swans on the top of the resort are enormous, so you can't miss those.)
Then, walk on past the Swan Resort and across the street to Fantasia Gardens.

If you'd prefer, you can take the Friendship Boat from Epcot's International Gateway to the Swan.

How much further from either the Swan/Dolphin or BWI is Winter Summerland? Still walkable? My DDs will be 6 & 9 and I am worried that FG will be too challenging for them. Thoughts?

Winter Summerland is over by Blizzard Beach. It's not really walkable from BWI or S/D. According to Google Maps, it's 2.7 miles and I'm not sure there are sidewalks along the entire route.

To get to Winter Summerland take a bus to Blizzard Beach, definitely not walkable from the Epcot resorts.

Hmmm. Anyone played FG? Is is too hard for younger kids?

There are two courses located near the Swan/Dolphin as shown in the picture above. The Gardens course is fine for little ones, more what you think a traditional mini-golf course is like. The Fantasia Fairways course is much too tough for the kiddies.

And to answer the original question, we usually stay at either BW or BC and walk there all the time. The walk from Epcot IG entrance isn't all that much farther.

Tremendous advice and images by Robo as usual. Only word of caution re: taking the Friendship Boat from Epcot's International Gateway to the Swan is that the Boat goes from IG to the Boardwalk, then back across the lagoon to the Yacht Club, then back again across the lagoon to the Swan & Dolphin. Unless you really need to minimize your walking, you can still take the Friendship Boat from IG to the Boadwalk, but then walk over the bridge to the Swan. This will save you at least 10 minutes.

We've played Fantasia Gardens a lot....and there have always been a lot of families there. I don't think kids would have any issues there that they wouldn't have at any other mini-golf place. I love the theming there.
I would just walk from the IG....just keep going straight when you leave the IG...past BC, then YC. Up and over the bridge to S/D. Walk towards the Swan....once past it (Swan on the left, water on the right) you will start seeing signage for Fantasia Gardens to the left. Cross the street and there you are.
