This will probably be the first of MANY questions.....how long will it take to walk from the Disneyland hotel to Downtown Disney? Do I have to cross a street? Can't really tell too much from those cartoonish maps they have.

The Disneyland hotel sits right next to DD. It is really just a few minutes walk. The hotel leads right into DD. DD then goes right into either Disneyland or Calif. Adventure. It is a great setup. We just returned last Sunday from a 4 day stay. It was our first time visiting DCA and we loved it. I posted a review here on this board about the restaurants we ate at. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

The DLH is just steps away from the side of DTD which has ESPN Zone, the Rainforest Cafe, and really most of the sitdown eateries... Also the HoB.

Everything Disney is within easy walking distance from the DLH. If you want to eat off property you might have to cross the street, but it is all very pedestrian friendly.

If you investigate the information in Mary Jo's sticky thread....there are some nice airel maps.

OK, so how long of a walk is it to each park? And can we take the monorail? I love the monorail at WDW, what kind of a loop does it take? Thank you so much for your help!!!

The walk from DLH is about 10 minutes to either park. The entrance to each park is separated by about 100 yards called the Esplanade (I think?). You can take the monorail from DTD into Disneyland, but not California Adventures. It stops in Tomorrowland. The monorail is DL is smaller than the one is WDW and is more of an attraction than actual transportation.

Many times it is faster to just walk to DL from the DLH rather than taking the monorail. Like someone said before, the monorail is small and is more of an attraction than a mode of transportation.

We stayed in the Sierra Tower at DLH, and we just steped out of our hotel tower and were in DTD. So for us it took less than a minute to get to DTD. It took about 10 min to walk through DTD to get to the parks. Everything is crazy close at DL, at WDW sometimes you can walk 10 min just to get to the bus stop at your hotel !

im excited to this is gona be my first time ever onsite and im so excited
