Walking distance to Universal Studios?

I know a lot of lodging list that they are walking distance to the entrance to Universal/IOA, but as we all know the entrance can
sometimes be quite a walk to the actual parks? Is there
any off-site lodging within walking distance to the parks
themselves or am I just dreaming?

Well, I stayed at a hotel near Wet n Wild. We did not personally walk from the Hotel to Universal, but we saw some teenagers doing it. (the hotel was at the intersection of Sand Lake and Universal Blvd.)

THey would walk the 1/2 block to Wet n Wild. Then they would cross I Drive. They would continue walking up the sidewalks over the I 4 overpass, and then they would walk to parking garage.

From the parking garage I would guess they took the elevators to the moving sidewalks and walked through City Walk to the parks.

We would see them leave the hotel area, and go up the street. We would drive to the garage, and see them approaching the garage.

There is a grouping of hotels right across from the parking garages at Universal, and I honestly cant' remember any of the others besides the one we stayed at which was an AmeriSuites, so I'm not much help. It was def walking distance, loads of people were doing it...
