Walking distance hotel suites?

Hi there,

I’m starting to plan our next Disneyland trip with our now adult children (we will be 4 adults). My sister in law and her family will also be coming (5 adults). Trying to economize I thought it would be better to look for suites within walking distance to the park. Wondering if anyone has some suggestions for hotels to look at? Disney hotels are out of our budgets. Thanks in advance for the help.

Right across the street~ BW Anaheim Plus Inn has 2 room suites, Park Vue has 1 bedroom suites with a kitchen. Tropicana has a family suite. These are all a 2-5 minute walk.

Down at the intersection of Harbor & Katella, Hyatt House and Residence Inn have big suites. That's more of a 15-20 minute walk.

We're big fans of the Homewood Suites by Hilton (Anaheim Resort) when we hit up Disneyland. Having a kitchen and a separate bedroom is a game-changer for our family. With my two older kids (19 and 21), we make the pull-out sofa work, but just a heads up, make sure everyone's cool with that! The free breakfast is seriously amazing, and it sets us up perfectly for the day. The best part? It's a super quick walk to the Toy Story Parking Lot, where you go through security. That means skipping the long lines at the park entrance—major win!"

Home2Suites, Courtyard Marriott theme park entrance, Camelot Inn, Park Vue Inn, Anaheim hotel, Desert Palms, Alpine Inn, Cambria, Element and Hojo.

We are going in November and will have 5 people, 2 adults and 3 teens. We priced a bunch of places out but narrowed it down to either Park Vue inn or Cambria.

Desert Palms has a room with 4 queen beds and 2 bathrooms. Courtyard and Cambria have 2 showers in the bathroom which is also really nice. Desert Palms and Cambria also include a hot breakfast.

Hopefully this is a good start for you to price some places out!

Also, I have not stayed here but Clementine looks pretty awesome too. It’s just bit of our budget for November. But if we could swing it, I would consider here too.

I'm a huge fan of Desert Inn and Suites, you can't get any closer to the parks, it is directly across the street right next door to iHop.
We get the Parlor Suites but they do have larger ones as well.
Free basic breakfast, quiet rooms, it's no frills but always extremely clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful when I've had packages delivered etc.
I won't stay anywhere else now.

Thanks for the suggestions. I had been looking at the BW Anaheim Inn as their suites seem perfect except that I have seen reviews that the separate bedroom has no door and the bathroom and fridge are both located in that bedroom. Can anyone confirm that?

We stayed there in the 2 bedroom suite. Our separate bedroom didn't have a door, but there was a little sitting area /alcove off to the side where you could change without anyone seeing you. When I was in bed, I couldn't see the beds in the other room because of the way the doorways were set up. In our suite, the bathroom and fridge were in the other bedroom.

Room 1:
2 queen beds
Large dresser
Mini fridge
Bathroom
Long counter with sink and storage area
Wardrobe
Table and 2 chairs
2 night stands

Room 2:
King bed
Table and 2 chairs
Bench
2 night stands

ETA: The last time we stayed there we asked for connecting rooms. That was nice because we got an extra bathroom.

I'm a big fan of the Tropicana Park View Suite or Family Suite. Excellent location and consistently great experiences.

What are the bed sizes at the Tropicana suite? We love that hotel but I remember looking at the suites and I think they had 2 doubles or 1 queen and a double sleeper sofa. Maybe that has changed?

I think it depends on the room type. I know they definitely have queen beds in some of the rooms. You could email them and ask. The manager there is very helpful when I've spoken to her.

I stay in the park view suite. The main bed is a king. The sofa pullout is a double I believe.

Thanks so much for this information! This helps so much in deciding to book there. They have the best price for the dates we are looking at.

We have stayed at the Tropicana several times, it was our family’s favourite when the kids were small. Unfortunately their suites won’t work for our family now.

You might already know this but they have a great hot breakfast. We would sit on the balcony above Harbor and eat breakfast. Also the customer service was wonderful both times we've stayed there. I timed the walk from our room door to the Disneyland crosswalk and it was 2 minutes.
