Walking distance from Epcot to MGM?

I just got back from my trip yesterday. While I was at Epcot I decided I wanted to go to MGM. I didn't want to wait for the boats so I walked. I was wondering if anyone knows the distance between the two parks?

It is just over a mile between the two parks when going via the boardwalk.
