Looks like I will be using a walking boot when we go in October I am already slow getting in and out of ride vehicles. I hope I can do this anyone go recently with a walking boot how hard is it getting out of some rides like Splash

If you are full weight bearing on the affected leg, the bulk of the boot will be the biggest issue. My biggest concern is have you walked lots and lots on pavement with the boot? I found it exhausting and it made both my hips hurt. I ended up renting a wheelchair (had a friend willing to push!) and was VERY glad I did.

I have other issues that cause me to use an ECV so I will only be walking short distances in line I just worry about the size of it it's a large it's huge. I have trouble getting in and out of some ride cars already so I just worry that I will get stuck in a ride vehicle

I was in a walking boot for a trip and didn't ride attractions that were difficult to get in and out of - at Magic Kingdom I skipped Splash, Space, Dumbo, the Carpets, the Teacups, or AstroOrbiter. At DHS, I skipped Rock n' Rollercoaster. AK was fine (didn't do triceratops spin). EPCOT was a breeze.

I had a wheelchair which was a lifesaver. I should also add: I'm 5'10" and have very long legs so the rides I listed are already a little tricky to maneuver around in!

I've seen people walking around in the parks with a walking boot. Most seem to alternate walking with using a wheelchair or ECV.

There is a list for each park that talks a bit about access - especially deep steps in or it.

My DD had a walking boot and didn't have a problem on Splash. She did mention it was a little difficult on Space mtn. but I think she would have gone on again if she had the opportunity. The only time she mentioned anything was Space. HTH

Thank you for the replies I guess I will do ok I can't ride Space Mountain so that one isn't a problem
