Walking between Parks

Hello, I am going to WDW in December and am wondering if it is possible to walk from one theme park to another. Like MGM to Epcot for example. Thirty minutes or less is an easy walk for me. Thank you. Greacia

Between those two parks, yes, and it should take you twenty or thirty minutes. But you can't walk between any other parks. Well, not officially. There's at least one poster who advocates walking, and knows 'unofficial' routes. But really, the distance between any other combination is WAY too far.

I did the walk this summer from the Studios to EPCOT and it was nice. On the way we stopped at the Boardwalk for a nice treat. Other than that I would not see how you could walk between any of the other parks...... Have fun on your trip.....

EPCOT to MGM would be a fine walk, about 15 minutes. But between any of the other parks, would be kind of dangerous even if you could find your way. Disney property is not set up for this. Some areas are relatively high speed (40 mph) highways, and no sidewalks. Take the bus.

Taking short cuts or "off the beaten path" treks is very unwise. Need I remind you that you are smack dab in the middle of a reclaimed swamp. Florida is teaming with snakes, gators, thousands of unseen before bugs and wild animals. Disney, because of it's size, is home to many of them.

I would think that attempting to walk what in reality is many miles between parks would be at best, tiring and at worst, dangerous.

My advise...stick to Disney transportation and save the walking for the parks because believe me you will put on many miles per day just in there. I used a pedometer in MK once and I logged over 10 miles. I am not one that is a commando in the parks. I stroll, stop and people watch and take my time, yet I put on many miles during my visit.
