walking a ressie - Christmas 2018

How successful have people been at walking a ressie at Christmas time? We are going to WDW December 27, 2018 for a week. I am very concerned at the 11 month window there will be no 2 bedroom savannah views at AK, due to the fact others will be arriving prior to Christmas and staying until after NYE. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

My bet is that you would be fine booking that and it won't require walking.

I agree. I'm sure @drusba could go into detail to reassure, but AKV Savannah 2BR is not likely to be a walking need. A Standard at BLT or BWV, perhaps; Club or Value at AKV almost certainly. Savannah? Just be on at 8AM.

AKV savanna views, both Jambo and Kidani, have never filled at exactly 11 months out, regardless of time of year or room size. For Christmas week including NYE, they were, when I checked for this year, all still open at 10 months out. If you are considering AKV club level, the studios and 2BRs were gone either before or right at 8 a.m. eastern at 11 months out for any given date during that week; value studios and 2BRs the same, the club level and value 1BRs each had five dates in that week where they disappeared before or right at 8 a.m., and Dec 31 in particular was gone for all value and club level rooms by 8:05 am. January 30, 11 months and a day from Dec 31.

I booked for Christmas 2013 at the 11 month window at Boardwalk 2br 12/21 through 12/30

This year (2016) I booked OKW 2br at 4 months 12/15 through 12/26

I realize it's not AK. But if your are flexable
