We used walkie talkies 2 years ago and we were very pleased. We plan to use them again in June. When the kids (14 & 11) go on rides that DH and I don't, they can let us know when they're getting on and when they're done so we know when to watch for them at the exits. We definitely think they're worth having
reviving this thread hoping for more experiences from anyone who's used these in the parks more recently. Hoping people are starting to switch over to the Nextel type and leaving the old fashioned 6 mile kind at home
The idea is DD (13) can hang out in the stores while DS (9) and I ride the rides she refuses to go on. The walkie talkie is an essential part of our plan.
I love your baby coutdown thing. That is so precious. It almost makes me want another baby!! Well maybe not that bad. It is really sweet and touching to know that people think of a baby as a baby before it is born. Good luck and many prayers and blessings your way...
Me and my husband are going to be at Disneyland in a couple of weeks and we are planning to take our Nextel phones to use as walkie talkies. Our plan comes with unlimited walkie-talkie minutes at no addtional charge. This will be the first time that our phones will be out of state for a long period of time. So this will be a test to see how well they do. I just wish that Sprint and Nextel would finish the merger so that my mother and I could talk over the walkie-talkies instead of using cell minutes. But I would highly recommend Nextel over everybody else but everyone has their own opinion. See ya on the flip side! Have a great night and day everyone!
