Walkers iPod mini.....

Did any of you, or do you know of anybody who actually "Won with Walkers"? I think we must have eaten enough crisps over the past 3 months to have bought 2 iPod minis outright!

I've yet to find anybody who has won one or knows someone that has won one.

I thought it was a bit of a gimmick. I tried twice at really unusual hours and after that gave up.

I belong to a competition forum (just won a 5 star trip to the Bahamas BTW!) and lots of people won the i pods. The secret was to enter the competition in the wee small hours when the numbers entering were low. This seems to be when people won most!

DH did that loads and loads of times but we still didn't win one

I thought the prize was one every 5 minutes in September, then one a day in October and November. Therefore the winners were spread evenly with no time when people won most (just a better chance of winning).

I didn't win either, and I used to enter in the early hours of the morning...until lack of sleep took over!!

Thats what I mean really - a better chance of winning when you enter in the early morning. Thats when most of the people I know won. Im still stuck with loads of the darned things, especially those awful chicken crisps.

I may be on my own here, but a friend's wife won one...... Only one problem, both he and her work for Walkers at the factory where they make the crisps!!!!

I love Walkers. My DH used to fly into the UK regularly and he'd bring me back a big box of them, all different flavors. I used to wonder why we Americans could send a man to the moon, but couldn't make a decent chip.

What you had to do was accumulate a lot of codes, enter them into sms software on your pc and schedule them all to be sent at the quietest hour in the morning.

Hey guys I won one the week I got back from Disney!! We only entered half a dozen times in total, had bought the crisps for the airport run!! Sent in the code about 11pm on a Thursday evening (We arrived back in the UK on the Wed morning) and got text back saying we'd won! I called them to register the next day and it arrived about 10 days later - its great I won't let the kids use it IT'S MINE!!!!!

It's extremely useful when I'm doing jobs around the house coz I can't hear anyone shouting for me to find something/feed them/watch them/ help them, etc.....
