Walker on Bus??

Hi all...My mom has one of those walkers with wheels and a seat. It folds up somewhat flat. Just wondering if those are allowed on the bus? I have rented a scooter for the trip, but would want to use the walker for some shorter trips. thanks!!

I don't see why they wouldn't be allowed on the busses. She can use it to get on the bus, then fold it & hold it out of the way, much like people with strollers do.

You can ride the buses and monorail with a walker on the bus you just have to fold it once seated. Their signs on the bus letting guest know they must give up their seat to someone in need. i would suggest loading like a wheel chair out of the back door either by lift if the old bus because they have stairs. Or on all new low floor buses don't have steps but are not plush with the side walk and cant kneel so they have a ramp that comes done those are easier to load then the old buses and are wider to. Take a look at this will provide you with lots of answers sue did a great job with this i think she could write a guide book which would be very helpfully.

You have to collapse it once you get on, but they don't have any issues with you taking a walker/rollator on Disney Transportation. Definitely use the back door if she has issues with steps or lifting her walker, however. The steps on the front of the bus are pretty steep.

I used mine on our December trip. No problems with the bus. Just folded it and held it while on the bus.

I have also used mines at WDW and boarded through the back door and then folded it and placed it out of the way as much as possible, as to not obstruct anyone
