Walker ECV wont deliver to concierge?

My MIL always rents her ECV from Walker Mobility and has always been happy with them. But she just called to reserve for our upcoming February trip and they told her they no longer leave the ECVs at concierge if youre not there to get it, and wont deliver between 9pm-9am. :confused3 We are arriving at `10pm and want to be i the parks at 9am the next day. Have any of you also run into this lately? Is Big Apple's policy any better or is this a recent Disney policy change? Its a huge inconvenience. Anyone have better suggestions?
 
This was a Disney change in policy. There s more about it in post 2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread. You can find that thread near the top of this board or follow the link in my signature.

The short version is that Disney chose some companies to become 'Preferred Vendors'. These companies are allowed to drop off and deliver ECVs and wheelchairs at the resort without the guest present.
The other companies must drop off and pick up directly from the guest.

Walker is not one of the preferred vendors, so you will either have to figure out a way yo make it work with them, or pick out another vendor.
