Probably when Early Morning Magic began. That special EMM hour is based in Fantasyland and the CMs need to make sure non-EMM guests don't enter from other walkways.

This has been going on for many, many years but became much more controlled after the opening of 7DMT/Frozen girls in Fanatasyland. Need to stop the running of the bulls at rope drop.

EMM makes sense. But, the escort was well passes the EMM area. And of course, the ride was down for a bit.

Probably back to "it's why we can't have nice things" .......... people running, pushing, detouring, sneaking about ..... it could be lots of reasons. Maybe someone recently got knocked down, or stroller jostled and they complained, or tripped and fell ............ could be some turned right up through Liberty Square trying to get to Fantasyland ......... could be lots of reasons.

In the summer of 2014, during the Frozen/7DMT, we were not escorted all the way to the stand by line. We were the first guests there and had the entire train to ourselves. Our nieces thought their "private" ride was the best!

I agree that it could be any of a number of reasons.

We also thought opening was unusual this morning.

Not a lot of the tapstyles were open and a large crowd formed between bag check and the few that were open.

But all is good. Got a pager for Trader Sams and it is almost 4:00pm.
