Would I be able to wait standby for a table at Ohana? I will keep trying to get an ADR, but just curious what experiences have been

Disney does not "save" any tables for walk-ups, and the way they work their "reservations" is not like most restaurants - with Disney you are reserving "the next available table". Because of this, it is unusual for walk-ups to be able to get in to the most popular restaurants during peak times.

I'd say if you did want to try, you'll want to do it during off-peak times, and expect a significant wait.

If I were you I'd check back every night you're there for the next night. With the 24hr cancellation there might be new spots opening the day before.

Highly doubtful, Ohana is one of the most popular retaurants in WDW and they don't normally take walk ups. The only time I have ever really seen someone post that they got a walk up at Ohana was if they checked in right at 4:00 p.m., when they start serving dinner. Other than that, no.

Thanks everyone - I managed to actually get a reservation this morning for Nov 14 at 930 pm....my husband and I are concerned that that is too late, but we are going to test it out! Will the restaurant still be busy that time of night?

Keep calling. I bet that there will be openings with BOG now taking ADR's for that timeframe. At least I think they started that day.

i would continue to call anyway, folks cancel all of the time

Good that you got a ressie, at least now you can hang onto that until something better shows up.

Most of the monorail restaurants will be busy for the hour after MK closes - if closing is at 8 and Wishes is done by 8:30, then there will be people still getting ready to dine at 9, but by 9:30 it should be a little slower and the last half of your meal will be quiet.

I spent numerous hours trying to get my Le Cellier ADR. I would just keep trying - you actually become pretty skilled at it after awhile too:cool1:
