Trying to get an ADR at MK for before park opening, but no luck. Do they allow for walk ups before the park opens?

I know they have a seperate entrance to the park for those with ADR's. Can you ask at that entrance if their is availability for walk ups before opening? If there is availability, will they let you go to the restaurant and wait (just like a walk up later in the day)?

Anyone have any experience with this? TIA.

No, I can't see how. You can't "walk up" unless you are in the park. You can't get in the park before it opens unless you have a reservation. Catch 22 on that plan, I think.

I haven't tried with this at MK, but I have at HS. We were there early (accidentally) for HS and H&V had openings. We got there at 8am and they let us go back.

Sadly, MK is harder to get into, so I can't see you having much luck with that.

It might work- unlike the other parks, MK is the only one that has never checked our name off of the list for a pre-park opening ADR (i.e. just tell them we're going to Crystal Palace and are let right in without them confirming that we belong there that early), but as another poster noted- the MK pre-park opening slots are hard to come by - so your odds of getting a walk up are very slim if they are willing to let you in. In light of that- I'm not sure if it's worth it.

It's always been ultra crowded whenever we've done this in MK. If they do permit you to wait for a table- you may be waiting until 10am which defeats the purpose of getting in there before park opening.

I always wondered how that worked.....I know at DHS they always check out name but this year we have an ADR at MK and one at Epcot before the park opens so it made me wonder if they also had someone with a list.

I guess it would be kind of difficult to get an ADR before park opening by doing a walk up. Especially if they aren't checking off names...how would they know if there was a no show or anything open.

We have had them check our name off a list for Crystal Palace early dining before. I don't think I would try and walk up for that.

What I would do is keep checking up to the day before you want to go. With the new cancellation policy, people do cancel the day before when they decide they are too tired to get up that early the next day. :rotfl2:
