Walk-up to Sci-Fi restaurant??

We will be at Disney May 2-9. What would be our chances of getting seated for lunch as walk-ups? We haven't made adr because we are unsure of time or day we will visit HS.

We were there last year at the same time and had an ADR and they were turning people away as we waited. However a friend went in July as a walk up and got in. You never know.

Probably not so good chances. I would at least try to make an ADR the day before or day of.

There is a dining reservation window in the park by the tip board. Check in with them when you get to the park. If you are flexible about when you eat, I think chances are good. That's what I do for Sci Fi and 50's Primetime. It's not a guarantee obviously, but there may be a slot or two open. Two years ago, my parents came down to visit over the holidays when I still lived in Florida. We decided to go to DHS for New Years Eve. I tried for over a week to get an ADR to Sci Fi because I knew my dad would love it. I couldn't get anything. Flash forward to New Year's Eve morning. We stop by the window on our way to TOT and we get an ADR for the 2 of us for 11:45 for lunch!!! If you can't commit to which day in the park, I suggest the dining window. I love it!

I would make an adr. Everytime we have been there we saw people walking up to see if they could get in and every time they were told no.

We were there the end of February this year and were turned away for lunch. I said we'd wait for anytime they had and they were booked solid. I'd make an ADR if you can rather than risk being turned away. It looks like such a fun place to eat! Good luck!

We have done it during free dinning in sept. We did a walk up when they first opened and then we also added on 4 other people at another time during free dinning. Good luck!

You can try it...on March 5th they were taking walk ins for lunch

Where exactly are the dining reservation windows located? Once we get everything layed out on what and when we plan to do everything we will most likely call but in case we don't we may use the dining reservation window. Do they have dining reservation windows in all the parks?

You should definitely call ahead. I called just yesterday for an early lunch ADR on May 4 and the best I could get is 1:55. I took it, but I'm going to keep calling in hope that something earlier opens up. Good luck, maybe we'll see you. Our trip is also May 2-9.

this was the only ADR I could not get and my date was June 15.
