We are staying at the AKL in Nov. I would like to eat breakfast at Bomas one morning we plan to sleep in and take it slow before heading to the park. Therefore, I do not want to have to make a reservation.

Do you think it will be hard to get in with our a reservation. I am thinking we will not be there before 10:00am

thoughts and opinions please

I'm interested in this too. I'll be there in September and I know nothing is guaranteed in the absence of ADRs but I'd like to know how difficult/easy it is to get a walk-up there - and at dinner too. We've made one dinner reservation but we'll probably attempt a couple of breakfast walk-ups and maybe a dinner walk-up.

We went to Disney this past Christmas/ New Years Eve week (it is supposed to be the busiest time of the year). I was very diligent and made reservations for every meal (mostly buffets at resorts, since I planned fairly last minute and that was what was open). Other than GF's 1900 Park Fare breakfast, each place we went, I felt that reservations were unnecessary. Everything was open, because they were buffets (not table service) and at the resort (not in the parks). The wait times were minimal. We were very late to Boma and they got us in - no problem.

I would say you are perfectly fine. You might even be able to get TS (we did at Kona).

Thanks, I did not think we would have a problem (or at least hopped we would not) We dined here once before for breakfast on Mothers Day and had a reservation and really liked it.

We have made several reservations but sometimes we like to just wing it.

We have done that a few times but as early as we can, 7:30 and 8am. Had no trouble getting in. The later you go the more difficult it is

Since you're staying at AKL at least you wont waste alot of time going down there and finding out. I think it depends on what season it is at WDW (we were there during Spring Break and they were turning people away). Probably at a more normal time things would be much easier. ;)

If you decide the night before you want to sleep it, you can ask the person at the service desk at the check in counter if they could check on a reservation for the next am. We have had great luck doing this!

I agree that it probably depends on the season. In November, you are probably less likely to have a problem. We stayed there for a week at the end of May 2009 and they were turning people away at breakfast. We would pass Boma on our way to grab a quick breakfast at Mara, and we would hear people complaining that they were staying at AKL and couldn't get in for breakfast. People seemed to think they were guaranteed a table since they were guests of the resort.

I agree with the suggestion of calling down the night before. If they say there's no problem fitting you in, you can probably walk right up the next morning. But if they say it's full, you'll know you'll have to go elsewhere.

Have fun!

I have seen more walk ups excepted at this breakfast than any other place for any meal combined. I would get there early and don't get upset if you have to wait a bit, just walk around. Worth the wait.
